Community Impact/Office Manager
Job Description
Summary: The Community Impact/Officer Manager will provide assistance in the key operations of UWEC including, but not limited to: resource development (fundraising and relationship building), community investment (allocation), and community action programming.
Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Administration- Answer phone; greet and serve visitors; provide administrative and clerical support; schedule meetings and arrangements; prepare, compile and store organizational documents.
- Finance- Manage bookkeeping tasks including payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial statements, and bank transactions and deposits. Maintain campaign records and pledge receivable billing.
- Campaign/Community Impact- Assist Executive Director in various campaign events, including promotional activities, recordkeeping, creating marketing materials, and other administrative duties as needed. Manage community impact programs.
- Social Media/Website - Maintain UWEC website, make updates/changes when necessary. Create content and post on social media to promote UWEC campaign and events.
- Mailing - Retrieve mail from the Post Office. Prepare and send bulk mailings for sponsorships and events. Send bill payments, agency allocations, and maintain and file receipts, invoices, and supporting documentation.
- Provide essential support to the success of the United Way through diverse organization-specific events, activities, and tasks involving Campaigns, Care Council, Community Impact, Community Response, Opportunity Grants, Board Meetings, and Annual Meetings. Serve as Chair of Special Events.
- Other duties as necessary and assigned.

- Communication proficiency (English)- verbal and written.
- Problem solving ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Organization skills: including prioritizing, multi-tasking, flexibility, etc.
- Technology proficiency: Microsoft Office, accounting, marketing, and donor software.
- Aptitude in accounting and mathematical principles and procedures
- Competence in customer service and general office practices, procedures, and equipment
Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities currently.
Work Environment: On location, work is generally performed indoors with ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment. May periodically travel to assigned locations.
Physical Demands: This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing or moving of supplies is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a non-exempt position. Office hours are Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Schedule can be flexible with in the regular office hours. On occasion some events may require working evenings or on the weekend.
Compensation/Benefits: An hourly wage rate of $15.00 and flexible schedule.
Travel Requirements: Negligible and as per budget allows.
Required Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred Education and Experience: Some college and/or related work experience preferred.
